Atomic Volleyball Coaching Staff
Amber Glass - Head Volleyball Coach at
Augusta State University
Now in her third season at the helm of the Augusta State volleyball program,
Amber Glass continues to rebuild the Jaguars and bring them back to
respectability and as a threat in the Peach Belt Conference.
After enduring growing pains in 2005, Glass began to see the fruits of her labor
in 2006 when the Jags more than doubled their win total from the 2005 campaign,
posting 13 victories and becoming more competitive each time out on the court.
Glass’ first true recruiting class included middle blocker Jessica Howard, the
2006 Freshman of the Year in the Peach Belt Conference.
Glass, who was named to the post on July 12, 2005, enjoyed a decorated
collegiate career. A former All-Peach Belt Conference performer for USC Upstate,
Glass helped lead the Spartans to a 21-13 overall record in 2004 and a
fourth-place finish in the league standings. She earned a B.S. degree in sports
administration from USC Upstate in May, 2005. She ranked fourth in the PBC in
blocks and sixth in kills as a senior. She also ranks among the all-time leaders
in school history in kills, kills percentage and solo blocks.
Glass worked in the USC Upstate athletic department in various different roles
as an undergraduate. She was also affiliated with Club South Volleyball in
Spartanburg, S.C., since 1997, serving as regional team coach, national team
coach, a member of the national coaching board and as assistant director.
Glass, 28, also serves on the Board of Directors for the Palmetto Volleyball
Association and is Co-Director of the Atomic Volleyball Club.
Will Condon - Head Volleyball Coach at
USC-Aiken
Entering his eighth season as head coach of the USC Aiken volleyball program,
Will Condon has already accomplished more than any previous coach in the
school’s history. The program’s all-time wins leader with 135; just the
third coach to win both the Peach Belt Conference Regular Season and Tournament
Championships in the same year (2006); and the lone skipper to take USCA to the
NCAA Division II National Tournament this past season. Condon’s accomplishments
are not just impressive in terms of USCA’s all-time history, but on a national
level as well. Entering the 2007 season, the Germantown, Md. native ranks 48th
on the NCAA Division II active winningest coaches list.
And of course, after the record-breaking 2006 campaign in which the Lady Pacers
were 28-7 and won both the Peach Belt Conference Regular Season and Tournament
titles for the first time in a decade, Condon was selected as the PBC Coach of
the Year by his peers.
Prior to coming to USCA, Condon served as an assistant coach for four seasons at
Emporia State.
At the Division II school, Condon specialized in team offense and designed a
system that had his team ranked 10th in hitting percentage in 1996, 12th in
1997, and second in 1998.
Condon is a 1996 graduate of Clemson where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science
in Management while playing for the Tigers Men’s Club team. In 1999, he
completed his Master’s of Business Administration at Emporia State.
An active member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, Condon is
married to Lesley Michelle and the couple has a new baby girl named Ella.
